On August 14th, 2016, the Knights of Columbus – Council 1819 members came together with their families to celebrate Mass at Annunciation Catholic Church.
Just as Jesus instructed “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18) and I say to you that the people shall eat donuts, was obviously not part of these instructions, however, on this day the pews were full of men, women, and children willing to worship His name.
Providing coffee and donuts to the parishioners of Annunciation Catholic Church has been one of many long standing traditions conducted by the Knights, a tradition appreciated by both young and old alike. The council of Father Placide Dobyns has been a well established part of Annunciation Parish for the past 100 years and consider that serving the community is the top priority of the current 107 active members.
